Who we are:

April is passionate about all things healing. As a child she was very empathetic and unusually adept at supporting others. Her interest in health and natural medicine began when she was very young, and at 19 she began to explore and study Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Psychology. In 1997 she moved from her home state of Florida to California and attended The School of Intuitive Massage and Healing in Santa Barbara. After graduating in 1998 and becoming a licensed Massage Therapist she started a private bodywork practice and assisted at the massage school. While in massage school she began participating in various personal growth workshops and determined immediately that her purpose was to teach and lead transformational workshops. She quickly moved into facilitation and coaching roles and spent the next 10 years in various workshop and facilitation roles before co-leading with Brian their own designed workshops starting in early 2008. April is currently working on a Parenting Workshop to help parents better understand and nurture their children and themselves. April continues to attend training workshops, is always interested in furthering her own growth and is passionate about supporting people in finding their truth and living lives of integrity and purpose.

Brian has been involved in support and integrity work for the last 19 years, beginning this journey in both working and supporting 12 step work and counseling recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. He began participating in and supporting transformational workshops over 9 years ago. In addition to roles of workshop support and facilitator he has been involved in many types of personal coaching and individual support work. He has participated in multiple facilitator trainings and workshop training courses. Brian is currently co-producing and training several personal growth workshops with April and their company "A life Uncommon".

Together Brian and April bring their passion about personal growth and healing work to life through their commitment to leading by example, training workshops and creating change in the world by helping to create a community of healthy relationships and families. Their commitment to their own individual growth and to supporting each other has resulted in a unique and successful partnership. They truly practice what they preach and believe they wouldn't have what they have if not for this work. They are fully committed to passing on their transformation to others and believe that experiential workshops can be a powerful & healing experience.

Brian and April have been married since 2001 and live in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley in California. They have a 7 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. Some of their favorite things to do are camping, hiking, sailing, motorcycling, flying, and watching movies.
